About Us

The Pentecost Festival sees a collaboration of Christian agencies, organisations, groups, churches and individuals, although it is coordinated and facilitated by Emerging Culture* and its parent charity Share Jesus International.

Share Jesus International (SJI) and Emerging Culture* (EC*) are agencies that engage the Christian faith with contemporary culture. They are visionary movements that bring together a diverse range of Christian denominations and mission agencies for corporate action in practical faith, social action and spiritual development.

The board of SJI comprises of Scripture Union, Premier Radio, Deo Gloria, New Creations, Care, Evangelical Alliance, Youth for Christ, Ichthus, Methodist Church, Baptist Union, United Reformed Church, Church of England, Salvation Army, and Churches Together in England.


  Andy Frost - Vision Development

Andy is a surf-obsessed, movie loving, bible reading, church planting, globe trotting Londoner. He works for *emergingculture and is passionate about seeing how the Church can re-connect with society. He loves dreaming big and has pioneered a host of projects that include dawn patrol, thirst for life and /thoughts magazine. He preaches and speaks around the country and has written a couple of books, ‘God on the Road’ and ‘Freestyle’. Locally he runs a football team and enjoys live music and comedy.


Kit Lewis - Project Manager
Kit has directed schools projects in the North East and following completion of a Theology degree at Durham University engaged with a research degree. He has since been involved in a variety of charitable research projects and is a co-founder and co-leader of Be Church, a fresh expression of church in South West London. He also enjoys playing cricket, watching cricket and thinking about cricket. And when he grows up he wants to be a thunder-cat.


Linn van der Walt - Administration
Linn van der Walt has experience as vast as the Savannah's of her home land, South Africa, working on numerous tours and large conferences. She is also a trained teacher, and so brings discipline to the group. Linn enjoys spending time with her family, reading and running children's church. Linn brings stacks of much valued wisdom to the team.


Carina Morton - Marketing and Communications 72: Carina 2
Carina has a degree in film, video and drama and has a passion for urban evangelism. She can usually be found carrying a notepad and pen, generally taking notes on life. Carina wants to see a true reflection of the Church body displayed throughout the festival. She likes: waiting for her sister to take a sip of tea before making her laugh, spicy food, Ephesians2 and monkeys.


Cathy Bruce - Logistics Co-ordinator
Cathy is part of the worship team and youth leadership team at her church in South East London. She is a passionate advocate for child sponsorship organisation Compassion UK and has organised various social events to highlight and share about their work. Other passions include travelling, singing, going to festivals, wearing her wellies at these festivals, drinking tea, and listening to, as well as performing, music.


Huw Tyler - Design
Huw is a recent graduate from Nottingham Trent University and has a host of design experience as well as about one thousand project on the go at any given time. One of his main focuses is /thoughts magazine - a free resource for young Christians around the UK. He's been designing these since the magazine first started over a year ago. He is welsh and loves rugby - he's a walking stereotype. He has been working on Pentecost design and branding since October 2006.


Dan Hoyes - Webmaster
Dan graduated in computer-type things from Durham University and is now a full-time web-monkey. He loves data and binary a little bit too much. He plays the guitar in a couple of bands including Alba Nova and loves both playing and attending gigs. He was brought up on a farm and always brings a 'pack-up' to work. He is responsible for this site - do you like it? 


Revd Dr Rob Frost - Founder
Rob, former President Emeritus of SJI, passed away on 11th November 2007. He authored over twenty-five books, presented the Sunday morning show on Premier Radio and was also involved in presenting satellite television shows. Rob was a true visionary and inspirational leader - his legacy lives on through the Pentecost Festival.
