Travel

It's best to travel to London for the festival by public transport, plus it's the greenest way to travel too.

Then buy a travelcard to get around the festival.

The vast majority of venues participating in Pentecost will be situated within easy walking distance of ten tube stations along the Northern Line of the London Underground. All the stations are within Zones 1 & 2, and a travelcard can be purchased (currently £5.70 for an adult, £3.30 for a child) which will allow unlimited travelling for a day within the Pentecost destinations and popular tourist areas.

Accessibility

The physical barriers to getting around London using public transport are now fewer than ever, particularly on the buses. As of January 2006 the entire London bus network has been wheelchair accessible via low floor buses and ramps.

The situation at Underground stations is currently less favourable to wheelchair users, but this situation is slowly channing. By 2010, 25% of stations will be step-free which will hopefully mean that by the time Pentecost takes place in 2008 at least some of the Northern Line stations will be usable. As another alternative, the vast majority of cabs are accessible and this option also minimises travel between venue and access to transport.

More information can be found on the Transport for London website, with pages on tube and bus accessibility.

Interpretation into British Sign Language (BSL) for the deaf and hard of hearing is being encouraged across all events. For more information call us on 020 8944 5678.
